Healthy Living & Well Being

We promote equal opportunities and positive body image.

We admire a child's efforts to achieve and praise individual successes.

Snack times: Children may choose a snack of fresh fruit, vegetables, biscuits and water or milk. Our Snack Bar is open between 10:00 and 11:30 and children can choose when they would like their snack. Food allergies are checked each day, please let us know if your child has any special dietary needs. Children have individual water bottles with their names on so they can access fresh water whenever they choose. Children are encouraged to make healthy choices.

Lunch: Independence is significant in helping children develop self-confidence and self-esteem – we share lunch together between the afternoon and the morning session, again developing skills linked with healthy children.

Outdoor play: The outdoor environment has a positive impact on children’s well-being and development. Outdoor learning complements indoor learning and is equally important.
Play and learning that flow seamlessly between indoors and outdoors enable children to make the most of the resources and materials available to them and develop their ideas.
Outdoor learning encompasses all that children do, see, hear, or feel in their outdoor space. This includes the experiences that practitioners create and plan for, the spontaneous activities that children initiate, and the naturally occurring cyclical opportunities linked to the seasons, weather, and nature.

Uniform: We will provide you with a complimentary nursery t-shirt. You may purchase additional t-shirts, embroidered sweatshirts, and fleeces.
